Between 1975 thru 1990 Stephen had his own lighting company "Quasar Lighting" offering services as lighting director and designer.  Quasar Lighting provided lighting for many top artists that include the following:  

Joe Perry Project, Taj Mahal, Peter Nero, Herb Pomeroy, Stan Strickland and Phil Wilson, Gato Barbieri, Kate Taylor, The Fall, Bill Nelson, Max Romeo, Revillos, Townes Van Zantd, Romeo Void, Otis Day and the Nights, Marvelettes, Stylistics, Blood Sweat and Tears, Zebra, Sybal, Sterling, Mission of Burma, Adventure Set, Expose, Nervous Eaters, Rick Berlin, After the Fact, Fad Gadget, Our Daughter's Wedding, Three Colors, Pig Bag, Balloon, Sound Trek, Delta 5, Young Snakes with Aimee Mann and many more…..

Assisted with lighting for performances by the following artists: Squeeze, Wall of Voodoo, Billy Joel, Men without Hats, UK, Bill Bruford, Midge Ure, Mink Deville, Group X, Hall and Oates, Chick Corea, The Orbits, Todd Rundgren, The Fixx, Garland Jeffreys, Skinny Puppy, Edgar Winter Band and The Village People.

Theatrical Lighting design and director for “Art of America O’La Muerte Violenta de Cucarachas”, written by Terry Venditto.  Performed at Mass College of Art Theatre.  Also assisted with several performances at the Huntington Theatre in Boston, Mass. Lighting for Fashion and Hair Shows with Bloomingdales, Art Noveau Modeling, John Dellaria, Beaucage Salon, Images Salon, Eco Centrix and Bill Blaine Hair School.
